“The idea of taking a year out after college to travel and experience different cultures greatly appealed to me, especially considering I wasn’t sure what career I wanted. And the complete lack of jobs!
“Two friends were also interested in travelling as well, so we took our TEFL courses so that we could leave Ireland after graduation. My friends and I began to apply for jobs straight after college. We had our hearts set on South Korea due to its good reputation and standard of living. Having just received my contract from a school south of Seoul yesterday I am delighted and can’t wait to get started! I’m really glad that I have the TEFL course behind me. It has given me the confidence to teach.”
