Straddling the equator, Ecuador is best known for its diverse landscapes, from the long stretches of golden beaches, snow-capped volcanoes.

Although salaries are fairly low in Ecuador, living costs are rock bottom, allowing TEFL teachers to lead lives of comfort. The demand for TEFL teachers is high in Ecuador, with the majority of students aged 4+.

When you book our 120-Hour Combined TEFL Course, you can apply through our FREE job placement service for a position in a reputable school or language institute. By availing of our job placement service, you won't need to worry about any job-hunting, researching, CV-sending and making sure the job is reliable—you can leave that to us!

Requirements:

* Native English Speaker

* Completed University Degree (not essential, but desirable)

* TEFL qualification (120-hour TEFL course required, a practical weekend course is essential)

* Must be at least 23 years old.

Employment Package:

* Salary: Up to €290 per month based on 25 hours per week. You will be paid weekly and our partners will help you to open a bank account. You may have the opportunity to increase your earnings as private tuition work is normally available, especially if you speak Spanish.

Health insurance can be arranged at $13 USD per month.

* Locations: Loja, Machala or Cuenca

* Placement lengths: 12 months

* Departure Dates: February and September in Loja. April and September in Machala. April and September in Manta.

* Accommodation: Our partners can offer you a private room in a rented house in Loja which will cost approximately €55-€70 per month. Alternatively, you could choose to stay with a local family which will cost around €85 per month including food. In Machala there is accommodation within the school which costs €15-€20 per month. In the future this school also plans to offer accommodation in rented housing, so the costs will increase.

* Student age range: you will be working with adults, teenagers and children from 4 upwards.

Application Process:

Step 1. Please call 058 40050 to arrange your TEFL Course with TEFL Job Placement

Step 2. You will receive a welcome call from one of the paid teaching team to go through your application.

Step 3. Complete the 120-Hour Combined TEFL course.

Step 4. Your application will be forwarded to our partners in country.

Step 5. Within 28 days, you will be contacted directly by our country agents to arrange a telephone interview (if required).

Step 6. On successful acceptance, you will receive visa and additional country specific information. From this point onwards you will be in direct contact with your employer or i-to-i agent overseas up to your arrival date.
