The 120 Hour Online TEFL Course is our most in-depth online TEFL course. It has helped 1,000s of our graduates to find work teaching English abroad, and is widely respected by language schools and institutes worldwide. It will give you a thorough grounding in the most important TEFL skills, as well as 40 hours of specialist training and a 20 hour grammar course, equipping you with all the skills you need to teach English abroad. It’s a perfect choice if you want a high-level TEFL certificate that will help you find work overseas, but can’t make it along to one of the classroom TEFL courses we run across the country.
What is included in the 120 Hour Online Course ?
The 20 Hour Grammar Awareness Module
Our Grammar Awareness Course is specifically designed to de-mystify the complexities of English grammar, so you can effectively communicate the key principles to your students.
Module 1: The Nuts and Bolts of English (5 hours)
Start your grammar training with a look at grammar terminology, word classes and parts of speech.
Module 2: English Tense Forms (5 hours)
Learn how verbs are used to form tenses in the past, present and future. By the end of this module, you’ll know the difference between the continuous, perfect and conditional forms.
Module 3: English Tense Functions (5 hours)
In this module you’ll learn the different tenses time references can refer to and how the same tense can serve various functions.
Module 4: Vocabulary and Phonology (5 hours)
In the final module you’ll concentrate on words. You’ll learn about how they sound, how they are pronounced, how they are spelled and how you can categorise them.
40 Hours of Specialist TEFL Certificates
Our specialist modules have been specifically designed by our expert TEFL tutors to provide training to fulfill the needs of learners and language schools worldwide.
Each specialist module takes approximately ten hours to complete and combines auto-correction with feedback from our online tutors.

The 60 Hour Online TEFL Course
Our 60 Hour Online TEFL Course consists of 13 interactive modules, starting from the very basics of teaching English as a foreign language, all the way through to developing your own lesson plans.
During the course you will have the support of our online tutors and our experienced i-to-i helpdesk to answer any TEFL questions you may have.
On average, the course takes 60 hours to complete; however with three months to finish the course, you can complete it at your own pace.
