Online TEFL Course Modules:
The Online Course is broken down into ten different modules that can be completed in as short as two weeks or as long as six months. These modules are as follows: Module 1, Module 2, Module 3, Module 4, Module 5, Module 6, Module 7, Module 8, Module 9, Module 10
Four additional modules are also available. Teaching English to Young Learners, Teaching Business English, Teaching With Limited Resources , and Using Video and Audio in the TEFL Classroom.
Module 5
How to teach English Vocabulary
A very important process. With only a few words it is possible to convey meaning. This looks at:
- How to present vocabulary to students, for example, through miming, drawing a picture or using objects
- How to check that the students have grasped the concept of the work
- How to review vocabulary
- Special techniques for teaching vocabulary to elementary students
- Additional vocabulary activities such as brainstorming around a key word, memory games, crosswords etc
