Q: What is your favourite drink?
A: “Good red wine.”
Q: What is your favourite animal?
A: “My 2 year old daughter.”
Q: What is your favourite part of the weekend course?
A: “‘The Quick Fire Round’ that I do at the end of the course. It shows students just how much they have learnt in such a short time.”
Q: What made you want to be a TEFL Tutor?
A: “I suppose, I wanted to pass on the knowledge and positive experiences that I have had to others.”
Q: What countries have you taught in or travelled to?
A: “I’ve spent 3 years teaching abroad and 25 years travelling abroad!”
Q: Had you done any teaching experience before taking your own TEFL course?
A: “No!”
Q: What do you think are the benefits of TEFL teaching or having a TEFL qualification?
A: “Where do I start? There are so many positive outcomes from TEFL. For a start having a TEFL qualification gives you confidence in your abilities, and is a unique industry as it allows English speakers to live and work in virtually every part of the world.”
Q: What did you enjoy the most about teaching and travelling?
A: “Everything – it’s one of life’s great experiences.
Q: How has TEFL broadened your travel experiences? Do you have any future plans?
A: “Apart from everything else, TEFL has allowed me the opportunity to learn a second language to exam level, something I never thought I’d do.”
Q: What advice would you give anyone thinking about TEFL and teaching abroad?
A: “Go for it – only good can come from it!”
Q: What is your next goal?
A: “Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero – "seize the day and place no trust in tomorrow"!
Q: What can participants expect from your course?
A: “Having a great time whilst learning a lot!”
