TEFL Teacher Profile - Claire Brazil
When Claire Brazil’s boyfriend wanted to move back to his home in Slovakia, Claire knew instantly that she wanted to move with him. However, she was perplexed when she thought about finding employment abroad.
After taking time and looking at her different options, the Waterford-based local came across the idea of becoming qualified to teach English as a foreign language.
“I thought I would take a (TEFL course) so when I moved I could find a job,” Claire said.
With no prior experience teaching, except for some au-pair work in Spain for three months, Claire booked i-to-i’s most comprehensive weekend combination course.
“I think it prepared me very well and I can’t wait to get teaching!” she said.
Claire said she never in a million years would have expected to be a TEFL teacher, but is looking forward to making a life in Slovakia and teach people English in May.
With endless possibilities by having a TEFL qualification, Claire recommends the course for anyone looking for an exciting change or do something different, she said.
“You can go anywhere in the world and be nearly guaranteed a job,” Claire said.
