After seeing leaflets in college about going abroad teaching English, Stuart noticed a lot of his friends starting to get qualified in TEFL, he said.
While currently working in a call centre, Stuart decided to get qualified to see how much he liked teaching and to see a bit of the world, he said.
Stuart didn’t have any past teaching experience or a job lined up before talking the course, however has found that approaching employers with his CV to be successful, he said.
“I’m looking forward to the interaction and seeing the world,” Stuart said.
He is currently hoping to find work in Korea, East Asia and even India for at least a year, he said. Ideally wanting to go into sports marketing, Stuart is using TEFL for the moment as a way to experience new places and things.
Stuart recommends people to use TEFL as a way of travelling and doing something different for the time being, he said.
