Michael was completing a Masters Degree when he decided to look into getting TEFL qualified and found i-to-i online, he said.

“I wanted to be able to work abroad, but also to gain teaching experience in my specialist subject area of English,” Michael said.

Without any prior teaching experience, he is working closely with i-to-i’s job placement service to get a contact in South Korea, he said.

“I feel that the course is preparing me very well and I would recommend people to be organized and well prepared,” Michael said.

Having a TEFL qualification is Michael’s pass to experiencing a different culture and gaining teaching experience, he said.

“(The qualification is) internationally recognized, and allows the holder to work all over the world!” he said.

After using his qualification in South Korea, Michael is hoping to travel some more and use TEFL in a variety of destinations, he said.

“I feel that I can now travel to a wide variety of countries and obtain work while there.”
